Last updated October 27, 2026. This covers the Chainfall website (chainfall.app) and the iPhone and Android apps.
You can play without an account. We keep your scores so the leaderboards work, and the name you choose if you put one on them. The free version shows ads from Google, which may use cookies or your device’s ad identifier. You can say no to personalised ads, or buy Remove Ads.
We don’t ask for your email, real name, contacts, location or photos, and we don’t sell your data.
The free game shows ads from Google: AdSense on the website, AdMob in the apps. Ads only appear between games, or when you choose to watch one for a second chance.
Google may use cookies, your device’s advertising identifier and your IP address to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure them and prevent fraud. Where the law requires it (for example in the EU and UK), the game asks for your consent first. On iPhone, Apple asks whether the app may track you, and you can say no. Ads still appear if you decline, but they aren’t personalised.
Learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com, and on your phone in its privacy or ads settings.
Remove Ads is bought through the App Store, Google Play or our payment provider, and they handle your payment details. We only receive a receipt id, which we use to switch off ads on every device that plays with your name.
Chainfall isn’t made for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has put personal information in a player name, contact us and we’ll remove it.
Scores and names stay while the leaderboards exist, so past results stay fair and visible. Unfinished games are deleted after a day. Server logs are kept for a short time only.
